Ukulele Lessons For Children And Adults
Our Uke Crazy group lessons are great for young beginners. Is your child begging for guitar lessons but are way too young? Learning ukulele is a wonderful way to get started on a string instrument and move to guitar when they are ready.
This is an incredibly fun music experience that will have the student coming back for more.
Researchers agree that learning to play an instrument improves test scores, helps students with higher math achievement, builds self confidence, improves coordination and problem-solving, increases fine motor development and much more – including fostering the basic intrinsic value of developing a love and joy for the arts and music.
Performances are available for each level of study.
PLUS: Join our Practice Club with weekly prizes and chances to win a local area gift card twice each year.
UKE Crazy Lab Classes
5-8 year olds
These are introductory ukulele classes for beginners with up to six students in each class. We teach a notation-based program, focusing on reading music and rhythms, technique, ensembles, and music theory activities. Since the classes are designed for students to progress at their own pace, the teacher helps each student individually for a small portion of the class, and we also play together in ensemble (great for building listening skills and steady rhythm). Parent Performance Days are scheduled throughout the year, and the teacher will assess the student’s progress and recommend private ukulele lessons or guitar at the appropriate time. Students should have a ukulele at home to practice weekly assignments.
