MUSICAL THEATRE
Ages 5-7; 90-minute weekly class
Ages 8-10; 120 -minute weekly class
Ages 10-15; 120-minute weekly class
Students learn songs and stage choreography featuring songs from musicals and movies, plus short spoken intro-scenes to set up each number. Singing and vocal technique with warm-ups and intonation, reading musical scores and memorizing their "part" are included. Learn spoken dialogue, acting, dance choreography, and singing. The story and emotional content of the piece – humor, love, disappointment, anger – are communicated through the words, music, movement and technical aspects of the numbers. A great class for boys and girls! Several performances throughout the year.
Dress Code: White Shirt (t-shirt or button up), Black (dark) pants or jeans, tennis shoes/sneakers or character shoes. No Flip Flops or short skirts.
